Schedule
Saturday, August 3o
**For all guests, note that since it will be a long weekend, there may be traffic. Please account for this when planning your departure time.**
1:00pm - 2:00pm - Arrival of overnight guests
You'll be greeted by our wedding coordinators who will help you get situated, direct you to your cabin so you can set up your bed and get ready and where you can drop off your pot luck meal for those staying Sunday night.
2:30pm - Arrival of all guests and welcome cocktail
We'll be serving our signature pink tequila cocktail! Come meet our families and reconnect with all our out of town guests.
3:45pm - Follow the sounds of the church bells to the chapel
4:00pm - Ceremony
Join us in the cedar chapel where our officiant Daniela Gesundheit will wed us.
4:30pm - Drink and chill
Gather for a group picture by the chapel and take this time to explore the Camp Kinkora grounds and play some lawn games before dinner.
6:00pm - Dinner & Speeches
Speeches from the father of the groom and the mother of the bride to welcome you all, followed by a buffet style dinner from our chef Beaver Sheppard. Check the menu portion of the website if you're curious about what's for dinner.
7:30pm - Live Music
We're very excited to experience this with you all! Our friends have formed a handful of one-night-only bands for the occasion and will be performing mostly covers of ours and your favourite love songs.
10pm - DJs, fireworks, bonfire
Our favourite DJ duo, James & Kelly, will be lighting up the dance-floor with some greatest hits. At the same time, we’ll be lighting up fireworks and a beach bonfire.
11pm - Late Night Food in the dining hall
Beaver will be recreating the late night staple $2 Chow Mein with peanut butter sauce (leave your toonies at home!) and chili crunch dumplings
Sunday, August 31
The camp is yours! Enjoy a swim, a float, a pedalo, kayak or canoe or just a lay around the grounds.
10am - Pancake brunch
We will be serving up pancakes, bacon, fruit and coffee over in the dining hall.
2pm - Hike to the secret lake (optional of course!)
Pack swimsuits and hiking shoes - there is a 10 minute hike to a secret lake that will require holding onto some ropes, but the reward is a private lake swim. Hike 10 extra minutes to get to the top of the mountain for a view on Camp Kinkora.
6pm - Potluck Dinner
Come unpack your potluck meal to share with the remaining campers.
8pm - Movie screening in the chapel
Bring your bedding to lay on the ground or gather on some pews to watch a movie.
